Restore Thr o ugh Repeal
Purpose
A Working Alliance for Political Renewal
British politics is under strain. Many people no longer feel represented by existing parties, yet little seems to change no matter how they vote. This is not just a failure of policy, but of how the system itself now works. Over time, real decision-making has moved away from elected representatives and into permanent systems and institutions that ordinary voters cannot remove or influence. As a result of these bureaucratic limitations, reform no longer works in the way it once did and needs to be addressed in other practical ways.
At the same time, whilst many independent candidates and smaller political parties recognise these problems, they are limited by supporter numbers and therefore unable to make a difference. So when these representatives agree on issues more broadly, they can only act alone and so stand separated – the votes split – the voices diluted – and nothing changes.
RepealUK exists to fix this.
RepealUK is being formed as a practical umbrella alliance — a platform that helps independent candidates, smaller parties, and experienced professionals work together without losing their independence. By coordinating around areas of shared concern, participants can turn agreement into real influence, reduce vote-splitting, and improve the chances of getting people into Parliament who genuinely speak for those they represent.
We choose repeal as our primary mechanism because meaningful change is impossible while outdated and unaccountable decisions remain embedded in the system. Repeal provides a clear and lawful means of addressing these issues and rebalancing the political order. Repeal also makes cooperation possible without wider ideological alignment - RepealUK does not involve itself in the external roles or allegiances of participants. Conflicts with the alliance’s fixed principles do not affect those external activities, but may affect eligibility to participate in RepealUK.
RepealUK is not a political party. It is a platform for cooperation, though this position may evolve in response to public support and participation.
If you believe that decisions should be made by people we can vote for — not systems we can’t — and that working together is stronger than standing alone, we welcome your involvement.
